Adjustment Policy

Firmness Adjustment – Firmness may be changed TWO TIMES up to 60 days after the original date of purchase but may not be changed until after 30 days have passed. This break in period allows the body to adjust to the new mattress. Custom Size orders Antique Size Mattresses, California King, RV Mattresses may not be switched out for any firmness reasons once the order has been placed, as well as any orders placed over the phone or for a third party, or inability to properly try out the mattress in the showroom.

*All Adjustments must be in NEW condition and free of the following. Abuse to the mattress including sitting in bed or sitting on the edge, water, fire, smoke, any stains, soiling, urine, abuse, sleeping without sheets, burns, cuts, odors, tears, snags, insects of any kind, natural or accidental disasters, damage from improper bed frame support, failure to flip or spin the mattress as recommended, and damage cause by the consumer.

If a Firmness or size change is necessary, there will be a restocking fee of 15% plus a $50 delivery charge for the first change and 25% plus the $50 delivery fee for the second change. Any difference in price will be refunded or paid at this time. All custom sizing changes will be subject to a $100 resizing service per piece charge plus delivery charge to make the mattress smaller, any increase in size will be impossible.

Return Policy

Returns will be accepted within the first 60 days after the date of delivery with a 25% Restocking fee plus a $50 delivery fee to pick up the items. There must be reasonable attempts to rectify all perceived issues before any returns will be processed.

Non-Returnable Items – All Adjustable Bases as well as all Pillows, Mattress Pads, and Mattress Protectors are not able to be returned due to the manufacturers policy. Required Support / Flipping & Rotation

Proper flipping and rotating the mattress should be done every 30 days for the life of the mattress. The first time the mattress should be flipped over, the next 30 days the mattress should be rotated clockwise resulting in the head of the bed now being at the foot of the bed. Continue this pattern of flipping and rotating every 30 days. When obvious beyond a reasonable doubt there has been little to no flipping or rotation any firmness or body impression issues will not be covered by Hawn Beddings Warranty, all repair costs will be paid in full by the customer.

The mattress must be on a solid firm foundation with support capable of supporting the mattress with occupants. Proper support must be in place to avoid voiding the warranty. The frame must include a solid center support leg to the ground with a minimum of 5 slats for all sizes, or a bed frame with properly included center support and legs extending to the ground. Failure to provide proper support will result in voiding the warranty.

Limited Pro Rated Warranty

This limited ten-year warranty applies only to the original purchaser herein after the original purchaser. The Original Bill of Sale from Hawn Bedding Company must be presented showing the purchase date, place of purchase, items purchased and purchase price. Warranty covers the Latex, Aspen, Park Lane, Riviera, Orthopedic and Super Orthopedic Mattresses.

This Limited Warranty begins on the day of delivery and expires ten years after the date of delivery, should any repairs or replacement, if necessary, the warranty will run from the original date of delivery. Hawn Bedding will repair or replace at its option any factory defect through the duration of the warranty, if that item is no longer manufactured, the current retail price will be determined by Hawn Bedding Company from a comparable model. Hawn Bedding Company has the sole discretion to determine what current retail price will be used. Factory defects are defined as flaws in material or workmanship under normal use, torn handles, coil, or wires that are loose or broken, coils or wires protruding through the fabric. For years 1-5 body impressions must be greater than ¾”, years 5-10 must be greater than 1”, for all mattresses sold in a set or individually and must have body indentions on both sides withing ¼ inch of each other to show proper flipping and rotating was being practiced. If the Foundation and bed frame is not purchased from Hawn Bedding or set up by Hawn Bedding and is found to be the cause of any issues, then the warranty will be considered Void.

All wire grid foundations are immediately considered insufficient. All insufficient frames and foundations must be corrected withing 60 days. Do not put your mattress on top of another mattress. Hawn Bedding is not responsible for your Foundation / Boxspring or Bed Frame unless purchased from Hawn Bedding. If you have insufficient support, a broken Frame or Foundation then it is on you, the consumer to acknowledge and get fix. Do not assume our delivery personnel would have noticed. Responsibility falls on you, the consumer to know what you have and assess the situation. Hawn Bedding is here to help you and answer any questions you may have.

 Claims less than the specified measurements are considered to be optional and will be performed at the pro-rated rate listed below, this work is not considered to be warranty work and is purely a beneficial service provided by Hawn. All measurements will be measured with a straight edge resting on the top of the quilted diamond from one side of the mattress and from one side to the middle for all king sizes. The impression will then be measured from the straight edge to the top of the quilted diamond that is perceived to be down.

This limited warranty covers only defects in material and workmanship described in this limited warranty during normal use and wear. This limited warranty does not cover and is not limited to damages including the following: sitting in bed or sitting on the edge, lumpy feel, water, fire, smoke, any stains, soiling, urine, abuse, sleeping without sheets, burns, cuts, odors, tears, snags, insects of any kind, perceived odor, natural or accidental disasters, damage from improper bed frame support or inferior foundations, failure to flip or spin the mattress, and damage caused by the consumer, items sold as is, institutional mattresses, as well as failure to properly turn and rotate the mattress as well as use over 12 hours per day. Comfort preferences and normal body indentions under ¾” for the first 5 years and 1” inch after year 5 are not covered and is considered normal. Any perceived soft sports are not covered, this is too subjective and cannot be measured. Mattresses purchased separately without a foundation or boxspring are subject to all included requirements herein this warranty. This warranty and all interpretations herein are subject to interpretation by Hawn Bedding and subject to change at Hawn Beddings discretion, all changes will be effective immediately.

Firmness is a relative term and varies from individual to individual and even from day to day with the same individual and mattress. Therefore, firmness is not covered under this limited warranty, all firmness issues must be addressed in accordance with the adjustment policy herein. Hawn Bedding does not make any expressed or implied claims to be suitable for any medical conditions, nor does any medical condition qualify for any adjustment to the mattress. Hawn Bedding does not accept responsibility for any injuries of any kind from use of their products. All Adjustable Bases are subject to a third-party manufacturer warranty. Your mattress will not look the same in year 5 that it did on day one. Please remember a mattress is a perishable item that is subject to significant use and will show some wear over time.

Warranty Calculations

All warranty claims will be calculated by multiplying the percentage based off the years of ownership by the current retail price of the purchased product plus the $50 service charge. If that product is no longer in production, it will be of a comparable product. A $50 service charge will be paid in advance for all warranty visits / inspections, this fee will be applied if any repairs are required.
